Brussels, 29 November 2016: Missing Links Information Session – CONNECTING EUROPE FACILITY CALL FOR CROSS-BORDER INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS ON COMPREHENSIVE AND ON CORE NETWORKS:
The integrated development of border regions in Europe largely depends on the availability of transport infrastructure, which allows short crossings between cities, businesses and citizens located on both sides of the border. TEN-T networks are crucial for the sustainable development of Europe’s regions. The European Committee of the Regions invited to an information session related to the recent CEF call for cross-border infrastructure projects on comprehensive and on core networks (called missing-links call), that is part of the CEF 2016 Annual Work Programme (https://ec.europa.eu/inea/en/connecting-europe-facility). During this session, representatives from the European Commission and Innovation and Network Executive Agency (INEA) provided an overview of the JASPERS (EIB advisory services for financing of transport infrastructure.
César Morcillo, Director of the Brussels Office of Extremadura, represented the AEBR on that occasion and gave a presentation on the AEBR point of view.
