The Congress, Euro-Institut and the Pôle Européen d’Administration Publique (PEAP) will held the “Prospects for effective transfrontier co-operation in Europe” seminar on 16-17 September 2014, in Strasbourg, France.

This seminar is a follow-up to Congress Resolution 363, which underlined the huge potential of transfrontier co-operation, changing the perception of national borders in Europe, solving problems and developing synergies that benefit citizens on both sides of national borders.

The resolution identified three essential areas for effective transfrontier co-operation: legal instruments, information gathering and training. The second day of the seminar will have workshops to focus on each of these priorities.

The seminar aims to set in motion an action plan and expert network to take these priorities forward. This is a key opportunity for all European actors concerned with transfrontier co-operation to come together, coordinate and tackle important themes.
