Local and Regional Partners contributing to Europe 2020

The seminar will aim to discuss results of a recent DG REGIO study of concrete examples of multilevel governance in support of Europe 2020 objectives in the fields of energy efficiency and of social inclusion. Its objective is to bring together European, national, regional stakeholders from different levels of governance and different policy fields.

At the seminar, the key lessons from the study will be presented and discussed, highlighting examples of multilevel governance processes supporting Europe 2020, as well as the possibilities and challenges when transferring them from one city or region to another.

The seminar will be shaped around two panel debates (one on governance on energy efficiency and one on social inclusion) and an open discussion with the audience. The aim is to discuss and explore the governance processes and policy experiences as well as to stimulate learning and exchange between cities and regions.
