Moreover, Territorial Cohesion can be particularly affected by a thematic and sectorial approach of EU 2020. Instead, an integrated and territorial approach based on Multi-Level Governance would result in deeper cohesion for European territories.
Related issues, as the implementation of the new Objective of Territorial Cohesion and the future EU Budget focussed this meeting as well.

AEBR President Karl-Heinz Lambertz has taken part in this event, which will be crucial for the future of European regions‘ and municipalities‘ interests.

This meeting in part of the Structured Dialogue between the European Commission and the European Associations of Regions and Municipalities, promoted by the Committee of the Regions.

More information on the results of this meeting will soon be available on our website. Please see the press release at the CoR website.
