The call for the AEBR Award „Sail of Papenburg“, this year tackling “Innovation and Research – cross-border regional development through Public-Private Partnership” was finalised, and it was decided that the deadline for applications has to be set on 31 July 2014 to give the jury enough time to evaluate all submissions.

The Advisory Committee revised the Statutes of AEBR and the “Charter on border and cross-border Regions“. The drafts will be sent to the AEBR Executive Committee for decision.

It was also recommended by the Advisory Committee that AEBR continues and fortifies its close cooperation with European institutions and organisations, e.g. with the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Committee of the Regions, ESPON; INTERACT, Council of Europe, etc.

The next meeting of the AEBR Advisory Committee will take place in autumn 2014, place and exact time to be confirmed.
