Promoting cross-border apprenticeship in the Upper Rhine:

"Réussir sans Frontière" (Succeeding without borders) is an initiative to enhance employment and training on the Franco-German Upper Rhine territory promoted by the region Grand Est. Implemented thanks to the framework agreement on cross-border learning of the Upper Rhine Conference, the project is realised in partnership with the German federal states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, the cities of Freiburg and Karlsruhe and many other partners (companies, associations, networks, institutions training, etc.).

This initiative, developed since 2016 in the perimeter of the Upper Rhine cross-border area and co-financed by the European Union via the INTERREG VA Rhin Rhine programme, aims to reinforce cross-border learning in order to facilitate the professional integration in the region.

The project included trainings and coaching so to facilitate the access to the initiative, and particular attention is paid to the cross-border dimension of the project.

"Réussir sans Frontière"  yielded very positive and tangible results: in the region Great East, more than 600 jobseekers have received trainings related to technical skills and well as to the language of the neighbouring Germany. More than 2,700 students were involved, and since 2016 there have been 218 new cross-border apprentices.

Furthermore, the project has helped to develop new partnerships and strengthen cross-border synergies between the actors involved. The partners have expressed the wish to continue working together beyond the end of project.
