"Mini summit" with Commission President Barroso and local and regional leaders :

AEBR President Karl-Heinz Lambertz will participate in the meeting with European Commission President José Manuel Barroso and the leaders of the European associations of local and regional authorities on 16 June 2011 in Brussels

 

European Commission President José Manuel Barroso will welcome leaders of the Committee of the Regions and the European associations of local and regional authorities on Thursday 16 June. They will discuss measures to better involve municipalities and regions in terms of economic recovery and the Europe 2020 strategy, the forthcoming reform of the EU budget and the future of regional policy. Media representatives are cordially invited to meet with the participating local and regional politicians after the event.
