AEBR General Assembly and Annual Conference 2023

The VII AEBR CB School will be a pre-conference event organized at the Faculty of Law, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University, Košice on Wednesday, 8 November. Read the draft programme here.

AEBR General Assembly and the first session of the AEBR Annual Conference on Thursday, 9 November, will take place at the Velká Sála, Tabačka Kulturfabrik,  in Košice.

The second day of the Annual Conference, Friday, 10 November, will be organized at the Yasmin Hotel. This session will focus on the EU integration of Ukraine and has been co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through a Visegrad Grant from the International Visegrad Fund. On Saturday, 11 November, a study visit to and across the border with Ukraine and various activities in Uzhhorod are under preparation.

If you want to attend, we encourage you to register and book your hotel room as soon as possible. November seems busy in town for conferences and other events, and accommodation is scarce.

AEBR Annual Conference:

EU integration of Ukraine across borders

This activity is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia,
Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from
International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance
ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

 

Ukraine on the road to EU integration (reconstruction, cooperation, pre-accession). What lessons to learn for Ukraine from the V4 countries’ experiences in the field of cross-border cooperation?

The focus will be Ukraine’s EU integration and learning about the experiences of the Visegrad Four countries in cross-border cooperation during their  EU accession process and beyond. The following day, the participants will make a study trip to Uzhhorod (Transcarpathia) across the Ukrainian border.
