EUREGHA partner search: FP7-HEALTH-2013-Comparative effectiveness research (CER) in health systems and health services interventions :

The network of European Regional and Local Health Authorities, EUREGHA, is currently opening its Membership and Platform of regional and local authorities to join a consortium that would apply under the next call FP7 Health – 2013, with a deadline of submission 2/10/2012.

Several issues are related to the regional and local competences in health and health care. However our the network will focus its future activities on aspects of integrated care. EUREGHA takes part in the EIP-AHA Action Group B3 on Integrated Care and we see an added value of the EIP actions and a cooperation within the FP7 call.

EUREGHA welcomes initiatives under the call and more specific under the heading HEALTH.2013.3.1-1: Comparative effectiveness research (CER) in health systems health services interventions. FP7-HEALTH-2013-INNOVATION. For selection of the relevant proposals where EUREGHA could be of value we like to reiterate that for the members competent in health and health care, the development of evidence based policy making and implementation is key.

As mentioned in the call, research should address the structural and policy components as well as cost effectiveness. EUREGHA underlines the importance of a multidisciplinary approach and would welcome to take part in initiatives of other authorities, universities or research institutes as well as relevant networks. Local and regional authorities do experience the differences in organisation of care models within Europe. Therefore approaches and proposals ranging from comparing effects of different models of integrated care on patient experiences, outcomes, and efficiency or comparing integrated care with more traditional models of care are valuable contributions to policy development.
