The Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) is a Europe-wide organisation representing border and cross-border regions with the aim to promote cross-border cooperation practices.
AEBR has its headquarters in Gronau and a project office in Berlin, Germany.
About the job:
The job is full-time (39 hours/week) and based in AEBR’s project office in Berlin, starting from June 2025 (flexible start) to December 2026, with the possible perspective of an extension.
The working language is mostly English, but knowledge of German is also requested.
The selected candidate will assist in the implementation of various projects that AEBR manages on behalf of the European Commission, namely b-solutions 3.0. Facilitating Cross-border Solutions, Resilient Borders and Cross-Border Energy Communities.
The selected candidate will support the implementation of the projects mentioned above, with a variety of responsibilities, including: administrative support, applicant support and assistance with the management of calls for proposals, project contracting, communication and dissemination, project assessment and reporting.

The position is to be filled by June with a contract until December 2026, with the possible perspective of an extension. The annual salary will depend on the candidate’s experience. It starts from at least EUR 42.100,00 gross per year and is calculated in accordance with the civil service collective agreement (TVöD) of the German system. The net salary depends on individual taxation.
