Initiatives to raise the morale

In these times of uncertainty, the initiatives that aim at raising the moral of citizens and stakeholders engaged across the borders acquires great importance. Various border regions have shown the effectiveness of the people-to-people support in the current daily life.

• At the Community Land Trust Brussels, IVY volunteers supported the local community during the quarantine: Read https://www.interregyouth.com/single-post/2020/05/05/Joining-forces-and-ideas-to-support-quarantined-people;
• In the city of Słubice (Poland), right next to the bridge crossing to Germany over the river Oder, a banner with the content: “Bleibt gesund, Freunde!” made by parents of children studying in Frankfurt an der Oder was displayed. Polish citizens have also gathered on the along the river Oder, facing Germany, to sing “Ode to Joy“‘;
• Young Europeans gathered at the French-German border to remember 70 years of cooperation betwenn France and Germany;
