Interreg reforms and transforms territories: the 14th edition of Stories of European Cooperation is now available

The 14th edition of Stories of European Cooperation has been published by Interact, in cooperation with AEBR, bringing together inspiring stories that demonstrate how European Territorial Cooperation is creating lasting changes across Europe.

This new edition focuses on how Interreg reforms and transforms territories, showcasing six Interreg projects that have influenced policies, regulations, governance, and administrative practices. Through the eyes of IVY (Interreg Volunteer Youth) volunteers, readers discover how cooperation delivers concrete benefits to communities and contributes to more resilient, innovative, and connected border regions.

The six feature articles were written by Loli, Federica, Yoléne, Beatrice, Eliass, and Brian, IVY volunteers who transformed their firsthand experiences into engaging stories about the tangible impact of Interreg. Their contributions help make European Territorial Cooperation more accessible to citizens by illustrating how cooperation addresses common challenges and creates opportunities across borders.

This edition also opens with two inspiring editorials by Moray Gilland, Head of Unit D1 at DG REGIO, European Commission, and MEP Pascal Arimont. Their reflections highlight the importance of cross-border cooperation as one of the European Union’s most tangible achievements and reaffirm the essential role of Interreg in strengthening border regions and improving the lives of citizens.
