B-SHAPES – Borders as central factor shaping perceptions of European Societies

AEBR takes part in the Horizon Europe B-SHAPES project’s consortium led by Prof. Martin Klatt, Professor at the Centre for Border Region Studies (SDU, South Denmark University in Sonderborg, DK) and Head of Research at the European Centre for Minority Issues in Flensburg (DE).

B-SHAPESBorders as a central factor shaping perceptions of European Societies, has received € 2.6 million from the European Commission as part of the Horizon Europe programme and € 335,000 from UK Research and Innovation. The project started on 1 April 2023 and will be implemented in three years, ending in March 2026.

Project beneficiaries: University of Southern Denmark, Brunel University London, Halmstad University (SE), University of Oulu, University of Wroclaw, University of Strasbourg, ELTE University in Budapest (HU), Technical University of Liberec (CZ), EURAC Research, European Academy in Bolzano (IT), Oulu University (FI), Eötvös Loránd University (HU), University of Wrocław (PL), University of Strasbourg (FR), the National Museum of History (BG), the Association of European Border Regions (DE), the Foundation Network of European Remembrance and Solidarity (PL), Kreatus (PL), and Lungomare Art Collective (IT).
