Call for presentations on border cultures and identities at Voices of Europe

Bothnian Arc has opened a call for presentations for Voices of Europe, a week-long cultural event taking place in the framework of Oulu2026 — European Capital of Culture.

 

Voices of Europe explores the richness of European languages and border cultures and identities through digital storytelling, interactive performances, roundtable discussions, living library and exhibitions.

 

The event is designed in an open-floor, multi-zone format where attendees navigate freely between simultaneous programme tracks and can participate virtually as well.

 

Key facts:

• Dates: 19–25 October 2026 (Week 43)
• Venue: International School of Oulu, Kasarmintie 4, 90650 Oulu, Finland
• Format: Open-floor multi-zone event, free of charge to the public
• Hybrid: Selected sessions streamed and accessible online
• Expected attendance: 750 – 2000
• Languages: Main language is English, other languages: Finnish, Swedish, Sápmi, Meänkieli, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Chinese, Farsi and etc.
