Opening AEBR Annual Events, the X AEBR Cross-Border School takes place on 28 October 2026 at the Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) in DUNDALK, Co. Louth, Ireland.
Professors, practitioners and scholars from various countries will convene for a full day of discussions and exchanges. The sessions focus on the role of cross-border cooperation governance in the current geopolitical context, border regions as places of peace-building, inclusive cooperation and intercultural collaboration, cross-border relations and shared heritage across borders.
The Cross-Border School is shaped by current research and the inputs from an array of experts who will share their knowledge and competences.
This year’s edition includes many speakers from Ireland and the UK who will contribute with the experiences of Ireland and Northern Ireland, which will be enriched by the moderator of the AEBR X Cross-Border School 2026 and AEBR Advisor Caitríona Mullan, who will bring her unique perspective.
